Dr. J’s Preventative Tests

One of the most common questions I get asked is, “What do you do for prevention?” The answer is simple…attention daily to my MY 4 PILLARS and then a few extra tests every year! Because I’m all about prevention! Today, we’ll dive a little bit deeper and discuss what I do on an annual basis and how we can intertwine them into your yearly health check.

Prevention Protocol

Thermography

I recommend doing a breast and full body thermography once a year. This is one of the quickest ways that we can find inflammatory changes in the body. The best part of this is, if we find something that isn’t quite at the level we would like it it be, we can easily pivot, make adjustments and follow up in three months to see how our progress is going. I always, always, always go back to basics and check in on my four pillars of health for this one. Blood Draw

Every single year, I do a blood draw. It’s a window into your health and the perfect time to check in and see how things are going. Some tests even provide a three month snapshot and allow you to see how your body is trending. Glucose Monitor 

This is something new that I have added to my practice! It’s a simple monitor that you wear on the back of your arm and tracks how your body reacts to certain outside factors. I can see real-time what food, exercise and stress do the body – so cool, right? I can also track insulin at healthy and unhealthy ranges which can ultimately prevent diabetes decades ahead. Food Allergy Test

I do this test about every three years. It’s a simple finger prick that can tell you what is currently inflaming your body. It personally helps me pickup what items my body isn’t doing well with.
