Fevers happen, but how we handle them can help our immune system or prevent the fever! Watch for my tips on naturally supporting your body through a fever.

Hello, hello.
We are going to talk about fevers. So, we’re going to talk about fevers in little kids, and we’re going to talk about fevers in adults.
One of the first things I tell my moms is that you’ve got to look at your child. Treat your child, not the temperature. All righty? So if your child is running around, having a great time, playing, and you reach down to pick that kid up, and you’re like, “oh, my gosh, you’re burning up,” but the kid doesn’t know it, leave them alone. They’re doing great. Their immune system is being challenged, and they are conquering it. They’re winning it.
Calcium Loss
Then, if you get to your child, they’re like lethargic, and they’re tired and burning up. What’s happening there is that the body’s struggling with calcium loss.
And when we look at research (there’s so much research about calcium in the blood and temperatures and viral infections and bacterial infections), we know that children grow. If they’re in the middle of a growth spurt and come up on a pathogen, they’ve not experienced before. Calcium is needed for both of those.
If your calcium is already slightly depleted because maybe you’re just not getting enough in your diet, then what happens is that the body either has to choose bone or it has to choose the immune system. Then, if there’s an even more significant depletion, the body will start pulling calcium from the bone to feed the immune system. And that’s where we get painful, “I hurt all over, I’m uncomfortable” fevers.
Steps to Take
What do we do with these cases? Number one, calcium lactate. I love Standard Process for this. They make it in powder. We can give it to our kids before there’s a fever, which is ideal, but we can also give it to them in acute situations. And what this does is it feeds the body. It gives the body what it needs to combat this pathogen. Also, if they happen to have growing pains, it will combat that. In an acute situation, you want to give 1/4 a teaspoon every 15 min until you see a temp change. Also, I don’t want the fever normal- that’s not ideal- I want it comfortable yet capable of doing its job. I would limit it to 1 tablespoon a day.
So that’s when I talk to my parents. I’m like, we want to arm the army to win this war against the pathogen. We don’t want to put it to sleep. And that’s what a lot of pain relievers do. They suppress the fever, meaning the pathogen gains ground and wins. So. we elongate the actual problem.
But I know you, mommas. You want to make that pain disappear, and I am right there with you. But let’s learn to reach for something different: calcium lactate. And you give that to your kid, and glorious things start to occur.
And then in adults, almost the same situation. You need a little more trace minerals, so that’s where Redmond’s Real Salt can come in. Drinking the salt, the calcium lactate powder helps to support the body when it needs it with a little extra calcium.
And that’s where we learn to stop reaching for what we are told to (over-the-counter meds now being sued) and reach for some new natural products with decades of experience helping heal the body. We can discover how absolutely powerful the body is.
That’s what I want to teach you. We shouldn’t be getting sick. If you are, it’s a nutritional deficiency.
Stick with me because I will teach you so many more things. Talk to you soon.
