Real vs. Fake Salt

Not all salt is bad for you. Not all “good” salt is good for you. I recommend one brand that solves all salt problems!

Today, we’re going to talk about salt. There is so much misinformation about salt, and so we’re going to get to the basics.

Fake Salt

There is fake salt, and that’s what you usually find added into your foods because it’s cheap. It’s easy to make. It’s a really big company that has been around for a long time. That’s not what you want to use.

All of the research that shows that it can affect your blood pressure can affect your heart health, can affect your kidneys, accurate.

Sea Salt

Then we have real salt or sea salt. Now, here’s where it can be difficult, because a lot of people buy the pink salt, but there’s actually more pink salt sold than harvested.

And so now we’re starting to see, oh, there are things being added to my salt. It’s not actually real salt. There’s plastic added to my salt. And sometimes, just rice. So where do we go when we want to find really good positive salt?

I like one company, it’s Redmond’s Real Salt. It is out of the old ancient sea beds that are in Utah. You can go there. I like places that you can go to. Family trip, let’s go see it. And what real salt does is it has a tremendous amount of trace minerals, and your body needs these trace minerals so that it can function.

Cellular Dehydration

So if you’re one of these people that can chug a glass of water, and then you’re looking for the bathroom, you’re actually cellularly dehydrated because you don’t have the salt to get that nutrient into the cell. Because every cell has like a little gate and a little lock, and the only thing that opens that up is sodium. And so for us to get those trace minerals into our system, you’ve got to have that salt to open it up.

So, using real salt on your foods, maybe even a pinch in your water, many people find that your body responds beautifully. This is a great way to make your own hydration drink if you’re exercising a lot. So, these are things that I want you to look at. Where’s your salt coming from, sourcing is everything, can you visit them? So important.
